Dude, all I can ask and beg you to do is NOT butcher a mint condition e30 m3. Those are becoming quite rare, at least over here in the states. Butcher an mtec, normal e30 or whatever, k - whatever floats your boat. But, knowing I want an e30 m3 someday, and not being able to afford one for well over the next 4+ years...I don't want all the pretty ones to be decimated by people like you putting american v8s in them. :(

Nonetheless...I hope your car is fun to drive. I think you're doing a fine job getting everyone worked up, and you seem to be having the time of your life playing with all of us. SO - welcome to r3v!

There's a lot of people here whose cars fit "the ideal"- lowered a certain amount, BBS weaves, hell we discuss whether or not to paint the is lip or not.. it's pretty refreshing to see something this wild carried out, and done very well. Most people wouldn't have nearly the financial/techincal means to do something even close to this- the e30ls1 excluded.

That said, the E30 wasn't ever intended to be a "transportation appliance" the way the civic was, so it's never going to be on that level.

Haha, wasn't sure what to think at the beginning. I don't like the cut-up valence, but that car will actually have the power to back up the gigantic intercooler when it is done (hopefully). I think it is hilarious how everyone here is so serious about their cars. A lot of them are nice, but originality seems to be frowned upon. Probe console-out of place because it is too round, even though the color and grain match perfectly. Silverado dome lights and map lights-people got pissed because I removed the check panel, which I technically don't have anyway driving an M42 car. It's good to see someone trying out new stuff and having the guts to back it up and being able to joke about it.

I absolutely LOVE this build! I've been watching the build for a while now (being both a BMW AND NISSAN owner) on the differnet forums. I don't get it...Build a Show-Car and you get flamed. Build a car with Fuction-Over-Form and you get flamed. I personally can't wait to see the final product. I considered dropping in an SR20DET into my E30 318iS! Talk about Blasphemy-a Rare non-sunroof E30 powered by a Japanese motor! I decided to just sell the E30 & S50 I had and picked up an S13 w/SR. For my budget it made more sense to go back to Nissan (just as capable on track, if not more, than an e30). Coming from someone who's owned 3 E30's and 3 240sx's, I can't wait to see this thing done! Hurry up!
