    Having trouble deciding on tires...

So i am getting some rims and can't decide what tires i want to get. I want to have an all around best tire for spring-summer-early fall. Many people here like the Yokohama AVS ES100's. I went to tire rack and the ES100's dont have such a good review. Then i found these: "Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3" and "BFGoodrich g-force T/A KDW 2" The both have a great review, although the BFGoodriches are quite ugly IMO. Do you guys think i should trust that review? Its supposedly an online review from peoples experiences with the tires.

please if you wouldnt mind give me your input on which one of of those tires would be best, personal experience? Or if u know of any other tires that you think are good, post them.

    thanks
    Luke

The tires are ugly? Are they not black and rubber?

take the ratings at tire rack with a grain of salt. remember, the ratings are all just the opinions of buyers, who in all likeyness will give any tire a mostly positive review. they give an indication, but don't use it as your only criteria for choosing a tire.

I'm not familliar with those other tires, but I've had AVS ES 100s. on the good side they were sticky in the dry and okay in the wet, and they're cheap.. on the bad side they wore out in 13,000 miles and had poor hydroplane resistance (IMO), even new.

and don't even think about trying to use them in the snow, I barely got away with it last winter, not going to try my luck again!

have you looked at the picture? Like I dont like how certain tires look...the tread...i dont care if the tires performance is better, but i like a nice tread pattern like on the eagle 1's

They look fine to me. Why do you care about tread pattern? You cant tell at over 5mph anyhow.

eagle f1's are pretty good.... sticky and quiet.... BFG's look terrible and they are pretty loud, they ride like shit if you ever heat them up too

ok i thought i could fit tires that wide in an e30. I got 17x8.5 rims...rolled fenders, and just ordered H&R cup kit. With that set-up what size tire will work?

225's will fit.. i think he is referring to the aspect ratio.. the rolling diameter will be larger than stock
