    I don't see it a problem of breaking from being bolted down. You're in a materials class, so you should be able to calculate shear, compressive and bearing stress. Therein will be your answer.

              FYI... traditionally bolt holes in carbon have a metal collar in the layup to prevent the carbon from crushing
