    Am i the only one?

Have any of you looked at how many guests are viewing the forum lately? It usually doubles the amount of members viewing the forum.

    Why so many guests?

We have a lot of members but the amount of guests is ridiculous.

Buy an E30 and join, or do what everyone else does and join without buying one and learn as much as you can til you get one.

I don't know, I'm bored, irritated at work, and this has always irritated the piss out of me.

    What do you think?

        Apparently I'm the only one.

The point I was trying to get across was the fact that the R3V community could thrive a lot better with more active members. If all those guests were to sign up, there would be more threads more responses and ultimately more friendships.

The more people we have on here will open up more opportunities to get some much needed insite on certain things.

I just think it would be better to have more people active on R3V

Let the newbs read and lurk. I'd rather have them behind the screen than in the editing room until the know what the fuck they're doing.

That's what I mean. I have so many friends that love my car and really want to get one and I tell them that when they do they need to join this forum. Its badass on here and I've met some REALLY cool people on here that even if I sell the E30, they will still be life long friends.

And that's true about this site. Everyone voices their opinion with so much as a flinch. But also everyone has their own style which is respected. So really all these guests, 182, and members, 62, the last time I looked. Lol. These guests need to join the forum because you can only do so much as a guest and its a really cool environment to learn and get some really educated responses and opinions.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!

True but how are they supposed to learn without asking? And yes they will probably sound stupid at one time or another but I think we all have. They can't ask questions as guests and they cat even search as guests. How are they supposed to learn anything other than what the current topics are discussing.

Maybe some of them aren't interested in joining the community here, they just come to gather information. Wish more people would be willing to beat the search button dead before clicking the post button.

True, but until they become a member they can't use the above stated search button. I agree, I can't stand when people don't just search but these guests should really consider joining just so all of their questions can be answered via the search bar.

You can search without being logged in, try it ;)

For your original question: I am in "guest mode" when browsing, I only log in to reply/post.

Nice. I lurked for a while too. Started at e30tech, but moved to r3v for more entertainment :p. The entertainment on e30tech is more like King of Queens to r3v's Arrested Development. It's gotten watered down over there by ex-ricers. E30's have gotten so cheap, and combined with the uprise of drifting, so many toolboxes are doing awful things to these awesome cars. I'm concerned they will make me not want one like when I sold my swapped EG hatch in 2001 because I just couldn't take every 70hp civic with a 5" tipped muffler thinking we were pretty much the same dude.

Sorry for the ramble, but I think lurking is just fine until you have a useful contribution.
