"That's it", what kind of sick joke is that? You are approaching this at madman speed. Looks really good!
I have never seen a buildup of this caliber being done at this speed...

wow, that car is gorgeous, been craving a plastic bumpered vert for a while now. Black wheels kind of clash with the blue top, in my honest opinion. Wonder what those wheel centers would look like painting the top color...

I never inhaled. Is that what I should say here? I've been told the "internet [is] serious business." ;- )

The kit came out great, Joe. Toldja it was going to a good home.

Thanks to Joe it'll be rocking the MTII kit, so the original plastic bumps are going bye bye. I was also really into the plastic bumps, but MTII is quite obviously ftw.

The black wheels are also going to say sayonara. In their place:

E31-spec staggered Style 5s. I was so stoked when I found them. That's the rear wheel on the right.

Dave this is great, you have actually motivated me to get mine done!

By the way, what diff are you going to run? I have a 3.73 and a 2.93 but I'm kind of leaning towards finding a 3.25 or even a 3.46.

I'm not sure yet. I was leaning toward a 2.93. I used that gearing calculator and it looks like first gear with a 2.93 will be about what the first gear in my 540 with its 3.15 is like. You know, the 540 has a larger tire diameter and all. We poked around in the storage unit at CMW and didn't find a 2.93. I think there was a 2.73, or something like that, and maybe a 3.46. LSD of course. Anyway, I may just get the thing rolling with the stock diff and 4-lug, drive it a bit and then make a decision. It may be a good idea to get a feel for how the motor spools up in first and in second with the 3.73. I figure that by the time the turbo hits its stride, I've run out of first gear.

So anyway, my hunch is that the 2.93 would suit me.

I have a 3.73 in my turbo car, the gears are too short. I would recommend at least a 3.25.

Do you think the 2.93 would be too steep?

I think 3.25 is a nice mid ground. I want a little more traction and just a hair longer gears. Erick is using a 2.93 for drifting and likes it I believe. You would definitely have enough torque to run with a 2.93 and not have a problem.
