My GF has an 84 325e that recently has been a PITA. As a matter of fact, it wont start right now. She called me over the phone and told me what was wrong as if i was supposed to have it running right then and there. Once im off work i get to go try and fix it!
That is pretty much the worst case scenario. Her C240 was a PITA, too, but never left her stranded. Then again, my E30 has been far more reliable than the C240 and has never left me stranded.

The awesome thing that resurfaced while cruising autotrader is that E30's are still worth quite a bit. I can get a '00 E38 740i with 80K on the clock for $10K, or a '89 325i with 200K on the clock for $4K... :D

Both cars don't appeal to the same market segment. Enthusiasts will pay a premium for a nice e30. It is not unusual to see a mint and stock $8k e30 either.

I'll agree that joke was wasted. Your grammar is not half as bad as most people who post here.

Sorry for any bad grammar this morning. Just got back from vegas. 8) Folgers Crystals probably would have helped. HAHA

Vegas? You lucky son of a bitch.

Been there once for 24 hours. What a tease!

Good luck on your search Mark.

                      Classic.

Wow, I thought most of the r3v was too young to remember those commercials.

I considered your cabby right away. Then realized I can't hook up a child seat to the middle back.

                      Where are the Vegas pics???

How bout an nice iX for 5k? Check out Kishg's. He's got alot into it so I don't think it needs anything. (need is a relative term of course)

Put 2k into it to fix the little bits of rust, respray and you're golden.

Hey, I know you. I just picked up Dinan and Eisenmann exhausts for your bro's ///M ;)

Kish's iX is nice, and I would love to get it for my wife, but here's the sitch (I've taken the advice of board members and thought this through a little more):

                            >$4K for an E30 that still needs a little work vs. a <$8K Civic that will need nothing is a hard sell even to myself...

You could always buy an e36 or something for about 8k in pretty good condition, and those are way safer than any toyota or honda.

Its cool that she wants an e30 and all, but I really think a Civic would be your best bet IMHO. My ex gf drove a Civic and everytime I drove it I had nothing to complain about other than lack of power. They're solid.
