Here's an M20 powered car you dont see everyday

Saw it back in April when I came to Brazil. Now that I'm browing through the pictures here I saw it and decided to share with you all.

The guy was hauling ass and needless to say my mother's slushbox '02 Golf wasn't catching up easily.

there's definetly space in there, given it's a 6-cyl in there as opposed to the S14's 4 cyl.

A good 4 cyl would make that a very fast roadster.

It's a Z1 and it had a prototype rear multi link suspension. My friend Stephan has one too. But his has a ton of ACS parts on it. The doors dropped into the body and they were kinda cool.

There is one in the US as of right now if I recall correctly, it's a guy from Colorado. Been seen on all the boards.

I will snap pics of Stephan's on Friday.

Yeah Z1s are awsome. They are the e30's Z3..... and many parts on the Z1 are interchangable with the e30.

Greg, have you ever seen a Z1 at a junkyard? I'd love to get that thing's main dash. Although with some differences, it looks like a direct fit with e30s.

There's a Z1 in San Diego. It's made of plastic which is why it wasn't brought over to the US.

Not to mention the DOT would never accept the Z1's doors, which were made to be driven either open or closed.

From what I know there is only ONE Z1 here in Peu, it is limon yellow color and it's m20 powered, the tach is kinda racing style, I really like it, the doors are funny.

Like 5-6 years ago that car was in my shopp for sale, I was like 14-15 years old, I liked it a lot but not defenetly my dream cabrio or roadster car. Didn't take any pic

It wasn't brought to the US because BMW didn't want to go thru federalzation process with them. Plastic, big deal, no differant than Fiberglass or any other numerous composites that companies use today.

My fiero was plastic... Never had to worry about body rust on that car! It was a bitch to paint though.. My dad sprayed the whole top half of the car, its different. Oh yea, dont have to worry about dents either... that was a cool little car.
