it's how many times your screen is drawn per second. 60hz is painful on my eyes, the flicker drives me nuts. even 85hz tires my eyes out after a while.. I can't wait to switch to a couple LCDs.Comment

Home: 100 Mbps/1600x1200@85Hz (19" Sony CRT)
Work: 100 Mbps/1280x1024@60Hz (17" Hyundai LCD)
Yes, I have 100 Mbps Ethernet connection, it's no joke. From the closest switch, I have 1 Gbps and then on to the Swedish backbone networks.
