      it's how many times your screen is drawn per second. 60hz is painful on my eyes, the flicker drives me nuts. even 85hz tires my eyes out after a while.. I can't wait to switch to a couple LCDs.

        Mine is LCD. Its my Dell Inspiron 9100 laptop with a 15.4 inch WUXGA screen.

            jweb: Then the refresh rate (60Hz) is irrelevant. LCD rulz.
            Home: 100 Mbps/1600x1200@85Hz (19" Sony CRT)
            Work: 100 Mbps/1280x1024@60Hz (17" Hyundai LCD)

            Yes, I have 100 Mbps Ethernet connection, it's no joke. From the closest switch, I have 1 Gbps and then on to the Swedish backbone networks.

              I've gotten used to it, but that doesn't mean I like it. :D

                      at work im on an 800mhz 256mb SDram running 1024x768 using broadband DSL.

                      at home im on a 2.4ghz 512 RDram running 1152x864 using broadband Cable.
