    vibrations

ok so i have been having this front end vibration for a little while now. now that i have some cash to fix it i want it gone.... anyway it starts to shake the steering wheel ever so slightly when im excelerating up to 60mph. i can feel it in the driver side wheel. if i pick up the speen to say about 80mph then it kinda goes away........ also i notice if i kinda weave back in forth to see which front wheel it was coming from, you can feel it shake alot when you make a slight right turn at a higher speed putting the weight on the front left wheel. anyways im sure this could be a lot of things, just wondering if someone can narrow down my search. thanks

Sigh... there is a number of different things that it could be. How are your CAB's? Upper strut mounts? Are your wheels/tires balanced? Bent?

jack up the front end, and wiggle that wheel back and forth. my car did something pretty similar to that when the outter ball joint went bad.

its helpful to have a second pair of eyes while you do this too. if you see any slop anywhere id think about just biting the bullet and refreshing everything. i hate chasing vibrations. you get one fixed and 2k miles later wear shows up on the next weakest link.

Tire imbalances will often occur multiples of the same speed. For example a shake at 40 then at 80 (and god forbid you try to make it to 120)

yes the suspention was some what refreshed...... new bilsteins, h&r's. ireland engineering camberplates.(pretty much new).... new ball joints about 2-3 years ago and tie rods.... not sure about the controll arms they could be ol.d..... the cab's looked ok when i looked. one thing i did notice is that the rubber boot was torn on the outter balljoint... im pretty sure i did this with the pickle fork about 6 months ago. i did put alittle bit of automotive goop to seal the slight tear so no shit got in there. im going to further investigate. thanks.
