Could This Be Good Or Bad?

M-Benz & BMW in talks about sharing components and research. I know in recent years some Benz cars have suffered some electrical gliches. Just so long as those don't make it into the Bavarian machine :-P

More power to 'em. What's better than a company full of brilliant engineers? Two companies full of brilliant engineers working together.

well, BMW, MBZ, Audi and some other German manufacturers have been inkahoots for quite awhile. for example, the MOST Bus system used on all BMW's of today. This system is shit. Which is why BMW is the only one still using it. Although it was a co-op development, everyone else got wise and dumped it. Currently BMW and MBZ are developing a new 4 cyl together among several other things.

If they could convince BMW to build something that will compete with the S65 AMG..... like the Alpina B7 but even better than that.

If mercedes offered more manual tranny's, bmw would be in a world of shit. Benz' are pumping out some serious hp, and are well built cars. I still don't think they perform as well as the bimmers from a pure driving perspective.

Almost, the 4 spoke AMG steering wheels are homosexual as is not even offering a standard transmission.

I read somewhere they are collaborating with hybrid technology as none of the companies want to flip the entire bill for a system that yields poorer mpg's then their diesel technology.

from what I understand, Mercedes are getting much better in this regard
