    What oil?

What oil should i get for my 87' 325i for the spring/summer, 300,000km (not miles)?

Something non synthetic, something good but not overly expensive, I would get amsoil but i dont want to specil order it and pay out of my ass.

AMsoil is synthetic though. I was going to suggest it, but I'm using the 10w-40 (AMO). It's expensive but has a bunch of ZDDP in it. Now if I can figure out where I'm leaking the black gold from I won't be wasting it either!

Edit - Seems like I just noticed now that the way you worded your post you do know amsoil is synthetic, but who doesn't :D Oh well, like I said though that's what I run...

i thought switching from dino oil to synthetic tends to cause seals to dry up and thereby cause leaks? i'm sticking with the natural stuff for that exact reason.

I'm running 15w50 Mobil 1. I think its a good warm weather weight (it's 75-80 degrees here now). In the winter i run 10w30 so it warms up faster. I highly recommend Amsoil though, the only reason i'm not running it now is because i needed to do an oil change, and we dont carry Amsoil at the shop.
