what are you going to do?

I hope this isn't a repost but I was just thinking; with this rebate check coming in the mail, you know, the one every tax payer gets for 600, and married couples get 1200 and 300 for each kid, what are you gonna spend it on?

    Bills?

    Car parts?

    Strippers?

    Beer?

A vacation to Cali, leaving on Friday, so hopefully mine comes sooner rather than later. My roommate's deposit already showed up in her account on this past Friday evening.

Yeah people that have direct deposit checking accounts are going to have them today. Everyone else should have them by later this week.

Where are you going for vacation in California?

My soc last two digits puts me at the end of the pile. :-( Hers was 12, so she was lucky.

I'm landing in San Francisco, renting a car and driving down Highway 1 to L.A., then back up to San Fran... Probably camping along Highway 1 on the way, I rented an SUV just incase...

Probably putting it towards another trip to NC later this year. I'm also going to San Diego in July though so I can always use it for some extra cash while I'm out there....don't really know yet.

I did direct deposit, last 2 digits are 11 and I don't have mine yet. Not like I'm in a rush, but hopefully it shows up soon.

Two words: Big Sir. Great part of the central Cali coastline. There are a few state parks with camping dotting Hwy 1 in the area.

Back on topic: I'm not exactly sure what amount to expect in my stimulus check since the notice the Feds sent out about a month ago stated "single/individual filings can see as much as $600." I would suspect that the amount you get reflects against the amount you made last year. If you made more than $75K (individual) last year, you don't qualify. I'm not sure what I will get, but I'm not holding out for the full $600. Maybe $200-$300.....if I get more than that, great. Whatever the amount turns out to be, its going into the E30. Timing belt, H20 pump and other maintenance goodies need to be addressed.

Damn that sucks, hope you at least had a cup or two of JOE in you before they showed up to repo it. I could only imagine how pissed one could get that they are taking it and you had not had your morning fix yet. :(

                          :nice:
