Back on topic: I'm not exactly sure what amount to expect in my stimulus check since the notice the Feds sent out about a month ago stated "single/individual filings can see as much as $600." I would suspect that the amount you get reflects against the amount you made last year. If you made more than $75K (individual) last year, you don't qualify. I'm not sure what I will get, but I'm not holding out for the full $600. Maybe $200-$300.....if I get more than that, great. Whatever the amount turns out to be, its going into the E30. Timing belt, H20 pump and other maintenance goodies need to be addressed.

          Jon
As long as you didn't make over 75k you should get the whole 600. Did you make more than that?

That's what's great about birthdays. And mine's coming up. No excuses. But honestly, the whole reason we are getting this rebate is to put it back into the economy. They don't want us to save it.

Buy your seats and don't look back.

you guys really rent furniture and stuff? i'm sure there are good reasons, but imho, why not just buy; it'll last years anyway unless you have tons of kids/dogs/cats/etc.? my check will likely be going into my savings account or towards paying off a credit card, living debt free ftmfw!

well she hates my current seats (and so do I) so figure that's a good enough excuse to get some Recaro SRDs :p

on the other hand it could go towards a down payment on a new house...

fair enough, i am far from "out of the woods" so to speak, all told i've got about 40k of debt myself, but +-1/2 of that is student loans and car loans that i'm in no hurry to pay off as i'm using to build & maintain my credit anyway. i suppose a rent-to-own can do the same thing. renting furniture is just something that never really occured to me, but if it works for you more power to ya. sorry, ot...
