just pull down on the tube, the spring will compress more and it will pop right out.

Push down on the spring loaded tube of death.

If it doesnt move, push down harder.

zip tie it down before you put it back in, then when u have the manifold in place. snip, snip and you are ready to go. I did this when i did my head gasket and it worked out great.

yeah, its the tube of death. what the hell does it do again? isnt it some sort of crank case vent? i had my own personal bout with the damn thing. when taking off the manifold, watch yuo dont shear off your coolant temp sensor too.

Wear a welding helmet, we dont need anymore injurys.

It allows the pressure to be equalized down in the crankcase.

You know, when Eurospeed and I were parting out the last parts car, the Tube O' Death came out really easy. I couldn't believe it. It just slid down and out of the way. IT was the only thing on the car that wasn't done half-assed.

well i got it out. it wasnt so bad afterall. probly having such easy access to it really made the difference though.

i just attached some clamp-plyer things to it. then put a hammer handle onto the plyers then beat the head of the hammer with a rubber hammer and it came out after only a few wacks.
