Bavarian Autosport, and how much they suck.

I used to be a good and loyal customer of thiers, as I grew up in NH not too far from them. I will not do business through them again. Every single order something is messed up.

The straw that broke the horses back....

    Monday, June 14th, early morning.

Placed a order for a bunch of parts. I ordered by part numbers, this way there can be no confusion as to which part I wanted. I was told everything I wanted was in stock (except the 3 M-Technic II parts that would have to come from BMW in Germany) and would ship out the next day.

    Fast forward 1 week.

I get my package, quite some bit... overdue. Should have been 3 day shipping. I open the box. All I find in the box are a couple clips, and the licence plate screws I ordered. Of course 3 BavAuto catalogs and numerious pointless plastic baggies were also in there. The collective weight of the parts I ordered was like 1 OZ. The package was like 5lbs. They toss too much extra bulshit in for such little parts. How much padding do a couple screws and clips (that cant be broken) really need?

Also included in the package is my reciept, and attached to it a slip telling me all my other items are out of stock/backordered.... WTF??

I called and asked why the items that were "in stock" when I ordered were "backordered" when my package arrived. Of course they were "never in stock at that time" even though they were "in stock"

    right...

    Fast forward to today...

I called and asked where the hell the rest of my parts were. They claimed they were sent out on Thursday, July 8th. They *should* arrive on Monday, July 12th.

That is just fucking super. I can have my parts 1 MONTH after I wanted them.

I will NEVER do business with BavAuto again. I have yet to make an order from them without something arriving as "backordered" even though it was "in stock" on the phone.

Who else is sick of BavAuto, or would like to share thier opinion of the company?

Had a great order once, got my CV boots but they forgot the hubs locking bolts, so it took forever to get my car back in to get it done when they finally did arrive. But overall pleased with their performance.

Ive ordered from them a few different times, and had only one problem as of yet, I ordered a bunch of tune up parts from them and the forgot to include my thermostat. I called that same day and they shipped me one second day air for free, so i would have it for the weekend so i could do my work. Although ive only had this problem ive heard NUMEROUS stories of people being TOTALLY lied to, so now im pretty hesatant to buy from them.

Everytime I have ordered from them, they said it was in stock, but 3 weeks later and no parts... they aren't in stock.

I order from other places now anyways, Bav auto is way overpriced.

I think I will be sending most of my business BMA's way from now on.

i ordered their springs and blistein sports, they gave me 2 sets of springs and only the front struts, sent the springs back though and got the shocks promptly.

I've always had great experiences with them. I ordered a new cat and downpipes from them as well as new bolts and whatnot for it. Arrived in 3 days with no problems. I also ordered a bunch of Redline fluids from them; 3 days later it arrived.
That being said, I'll use BMA from now on because they're closer and they're cheaper. I've ordered from them too and they've always been great! I'm getting an r134a retro-fit kit and a new receiver/dryer from them; should be here on Monday!

For that matter, I can probably say with great assurance, EVERYWHERE has "fucked up on orders."

                        Jordan-

Not quite a year ago (Sept. 2003) I tried purchasing a Scorpion stainless steel cat-back through BavAuto and I got the run-around from them with a plethora of excuses as to why my exhaust system was taking so long to get to my doorstep. Long story short, after about a month of BS from BavAuto, I cancelled my order and sought out an alternate exhaust system (Dave Adams' Stromung).

A vendor I have done business with about 3 times is Turner and they have always had what I wanted IN STOCK and it was promptly delivered to my place....arriving in durable packaging and the correct contents within. I know TMS isn't the cheapest source for parts, but they seem to get it right the first time. I will give them more business in the future.

this sounds like my experience with IE, they told me to get my flywheel would have been 5 days, that soon turned into 8, which overall it took them 2 weeks to get my lightweight flywheel. Within the two weeks they had my order, they could have ordered my clutch, but nope, they waiited till after my flywheel came in, so that took another 3 days. I waited about 3 weeks for a simple order for a clutchkit and new flywheel. They also forgot to put in all my bearings, which was another day. *sigh* nobody can be perfect :?

I bought a few things from them with absolutely no problem/hassle's at all. All orders that i placed i asked them to get the actual parts on their desk, in front of them, and call me back to confirm that my needed parts were indeed immediately available.

I purchased foglight cover/protectors, tried to install them and the mold used was way off. it did not fit properly. guy on the phone was insisting it was my fault that they didt fit. I returned it eventually.
