How many break pad sensors do i need?

And are the fronts the same as the rears?

i was buying some new rotors/pads from www.germanautoparts.com (pretty good prices, fast shipping.. ) and they only list front pad sensors.. not rear.

anyone have some suggestions for a better site to order from.. ?

Front and rear are different, and you need 1 front and 1 rear.

did yours break? did they set the light off?

You only need two and they are f/r. They just clip into a hole in the pad. I have reused mine many times.

        YAY two different answers :)

no they didn't break, but i just bought the car and the rotors and brakes and everything are HORRIBLE right now.. the previous owner had a dust cap on and it caused the wheel to rust to the brake assembly and stuff. Was a pain to get the wheel off to even look.

so i thought it would be good to just replace it all while im down there.

So who does have the best prices on quality break pads/shoes for e30s?

Those seem pretty reasonable, but I have a set for my Tundra I paid over 150.00 for.

i've been getting some stuff from www.germanautoparts.com they usually at least meet bavauto for prices, exceed them in some areas, shipping isn't too bad either. i used to shop there for my dub.

Another option is to just run a wire between the two contacts in the pad sensor wire so that the light goes off. I change my pads enough from track days to see when they're too low so its just an added expense. You can get better pricing on pads and rotors through BMA Auto Parts or EA4Parts.com.
