speaking of mileage to work, Im 33 miles one way, was driving a dodge cummins.......but with the price of diesel Ive decided to bring the ol' 325 back to life and park the truck till its needed. Im having fun restoring her....maybe in another 10 years when my little girl can drive she can have it.[sigpic

gotta love it mclassy. I lived in the city all my life, always loved the outdoors and wanted some acreage somewhere somehow. At 37years old I finally bought 3 acres in the "sticks" so to say ----with a shop.......Im loving it. Finally somewhere to tinker with all my toys and plenty of room for the kids to fart around.[sigpic

I love my job. It is tough at times but for the most part it is awesome... I meet a lot of people every day and know most of the people here on a first name basis I also get to converse with a lot of big wigs who run the company.
You would never guess it but pushing a coffee cart around an investment bank is quite fun. I have taken it to new levels by using excel to forecast demand on various types of coffees and condiments based on historical usage data, this has not only proved challenging but also fun.
I love my commute which is only 20... and my boss is a really cool guy after my rounds if there is coffee left over we mix them all up and call it the Noon Time Blend

Completely dig my job.
Technical Writer for Mercury MerCruiser. It's 4 minutes from my house, I make decent money and the experience I'm getting here will translate into big paying jobs in a few years.
Experienced tech writers do very well.
Only thing that sucks is I'm on contract, so no benefits/sick/vacation time.
But I do make my own hours during the week.
Ups and downs just like everyone else.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

That was by choice though, so that makes it ok.
