you should have a medium diff in your car now so its obvious to tell between a small and a medium when your looking at them side by side. I swapped a open small 4.10 for a medium 4.10lsd, I beleive the medium 4.10 lsd from an automatic 325is will be exactly the same as an m3 diff, so be careful not to over pay because you think its something special that comes only from an m3. I think I spent 200 shipped on mine with it needing new output seals, which were pretty cheap from the dealer.

I want to go lower.. the 4.10 is great for raw acceleration but it really sucks to hammer on the redline at ~53mph on every autox course. I know the E36 328is kicks my ass every time partially because he can hold his gears longer. I raised my redline as high as I'm comfortable with but it would take about 7500rpm to hit 60 in 2nd gear.

also, kamotors is a fucking ricer. ;)

That's what I was worried about as well, but I know my car won't be ready for any events until next year, so I'm going to try to ignore it.

So- what is a fair price for a 1991 M3 diff with 120k on it? Before shipping?

                Don't bump old threads.

Its just a med case 4.10 LSD, same as in an auto 325is. Worth around $200.

What would have been the correct forum etiquette for asking what a used lsd is worth?

Seeing as we're here already, is the LSD assembly (not gearsets) that went on the M3 the same that was on the is / option list, or did it get more clutches?
