The post '88 e30s were pretty good with corrosion inhibition as long as the body drains stay clear.

Your not suppose to cut the carpet out, it does unbolt. Let me guess your going to cut the black carpet too?

Carpet doesn't unbolt. Heater cores do. There is no such thing as black carpet. Cutting out carpet never to be used again, especially if it is tan, is completely acceptable for most people.

Stick to spray painting Ford motors cum bucket.

Just like Resto said, it was shitty nasty ass old stained as fuck tan carpet.

Not to mention, unless you want to pull the heater core out, most people cut around that as well.

Not too bad at all it would seem, shouldn't be a big deal to take of thankfully. Here's a few pics.

And a little other bit I saw, but overall not too bad for a 20 yr old FL car....

Aw fuxsors! Well I guess you found out how that trim piece came off. If were a better person I would tell you just to bring it on down and I would fix it. You really can fix all of that in an afternoon. Timing sucks but it is not all that hard. When you lift up the door seal how far does the sill rust go?
