Yeah seriously, they're one of the few new BMW's I wouldn't mind picking up. A 330i Sport with the 6-speed manual would be my cup of tea, and I'm not an asshole. Well, I don't think I'm an asshole.

They really arent that bad, the worst part about them is they eat up front tires prematurely. We dont have a lot of problems with them at the dealer.

I work PT at a dealer for fun and they haven't really had any issues from what I've seen/heard and selling like hot cakes. But maybe your one case is overwhelming evidence that they suck.

I did date a girl with one, just a 325i and it was a blast even as an auto.

I have three e90's sitting at B&C as we speak...

One with a tangled water pump, tensioners and belts...

One with a massive oil leak and am MIL that nobody has been able to cure since the car had 50K...

And one with only one gear...reverse....Just came in when I was leaving tonight....

I'm not counting the one waiting for a tow to the dealer because the cat that disintigrated and choked out the pipes is still under warranty.

The higher mileage e90's are making the first e36's look like the Bavaria.

What I've gotten from the three other bmw sites that have e9x owners is this....they over-heat the turbo quick, there heavy, complicated eletrical gremlins (not as bad as audi though, they always seem to point that out as former audi owners or something) and they have idrive.....that 4 things I don't like but they also say that all e9x are amazing on the highway, great balance between performance and luxury, and drive much better than the competition. I haven't driven an e9x but I know the g35 and lexus suck ass pretty in terms of driving experience. If you want a new bmw get a 135i or z4 the rest suck IMO.
