bmw doesnt use imperial measurements - its about what OUR termonology is.

And for an engine to run well, you would want injectors that run at around 50% duty cycle. if the injectors are any smaller, then you are increasing the time in which they are opened, thus burning them out. If they are too big, then the duty cycle becomes so short, that the spray of fuel is not adequately atomized and mixed with the air fully as it enters the chamber, thus an uneven and lower power burn.

idealy, if your injectors are ever so slightly under sized, then you would want to up the fuel pressure with an increasing rate or adjustable FPR.

this actually varies with load, and I've never seen anywhere that suggested 50% duty cycle as optimum - I would consider that slightly too big. if at full load you are only hitting 50% duty cycle your idle PW is probably really close to your injector opening time. Most power calculators use 75-90% duty cycle (depending on your engine's BSFC) - and you won't neccesarily burn them out running them at 100%, but running at either edge of the injector's range will result in unpredictable and unstable operation.

          How about a 2.8 m20, with MAF? M50 injectors a wise choice?
