Got me a set of euro weaves, they are in pretty good condition metal wise, but they need some new paint. If anyone has advice on refinishing wheels throw it in.

Here are my suggestions for cleaning and painting wheels. I have recently done a set of basketweaves...they are a PITA, as I am sure you are expecting.
1. Clean with Castrol "Super Clean" or whatever the purple crap is called. I recommend full strength, dont bother buying that in the spray bottle. use decent gloves and green scotchbrite to scrub them everywhere. Get friends to help!
2. Use good masking tape if you are gonna mask anything. I like 3M blue, it seems to hold a tighter line but still release better.
3. Dupli-Color makes a "Wheel Paint" which is available in a really nice graphite, along with the usual silver. This stuff has to be the thickest, stickiest spray I have ever spewed out of a rattle can. I would still prime first, but I had no adhesion issues spraying primer right over the wheels that were only cleaned...no wax/grease remover, nothing! the wheels turned out great, and the car sold, which is how I got mine!
