The DSSR reduced the side-to-side slop in neutral and while in gear a bit as well. I don't recall it making it smoother, but perhaps it did. A weighted shift knob will make a big difference, though. I'm never getting rid of my RK6-L.

Damn Luke, it is good that it didnt break. Lucky you noticed the change in shifting. I had a mini disaster as well, stopped on the way back from the meet at Carls Jr, got a large soda and burger, down shifted and hit the gas, sure enough cup of Sprite into my rear seats. A slew of profanity spewed from my mouth the likes that would terrify a pirate.

Yeah, so that UUC shifter is like, what, $37,00o or some shit?

I grabbed some decent used parts off of a car I parted.

Feels so nice! That front bushing has to have been sloppy for a few years now.

Any of you guys have a suggestion for a better bushing at the rear of the carrier?

            Closing SOON!

$200 for the dssr or so.. but yeah, the whole package is pretty spendy. it uses bearings rather than hard plastic bushings though.

If you kill the the car as you pull out of the picnic, this will put a lot of stress on this part. LOL Luke knows.

Do you really have to drop your drive shaft to do the shifter?

I am also having this problem with reverse, can someone post a link to BMA for shifter rebuild kit? I can't seem to find it.

No, but the stuff I pulled was way more than just the shifter. I suppose it could have been done otherwise, but my hands are huge, so I am not even gonna waste time trying.
