This reminds me that I never reported back about how it performed. I finally got to test it out on a suitable road. I did three runs and they gave 217, 221 and 220 hp respectfully. I used a 0% correction factor so it would report wheel horsepower. At 15% drivetrain loss it would be ~253hp, and at 20% would be ~264hp. The stock rating is 258 for the TL. I'd say that it is pretty damn accurate considering all of the other possible ambiguities.

And for anyone who is thinking about upgrading to the 3G, just do it. You can get $300 to $350 for your old phone if you unlock it. People pay a bunch more for them so they can use them with other carriers. What they don't realize is that it only takes like 15 minutes to download the software and run it on the phone. So I'm going to pocket at least $100 and get a better phone. Can't go wrong there.
I'm going to upgrade in the next week. My mother and step dad are buying them and getting on a family plan. I told them to upgrade to the next highest amount of minutes and go for unlimited texting and I would pay the difference. If I were t get a plan with the 3G phone by myself it would be about $120/month. But with three of us it is $250 for 2100 shared any time minutes, free night and weekend shit, unlimited text and data. It's only $70 more than it would have been for both of them, so I'm saving quite a bit there.
Also for anyone who has a first gen phone, the new one really is far superior. The phone is faster, has the better network, GPS and can actually send MMS messages like every other phone. Shit, I would have payed an extra $100 just for GPS capabilities.

I don't really care about my friend's cars either, they can pay for their own dyno time! :p
