That's hysterical considering nearly all HD riders are RUBs, buy one as part of a mid-life crisis and think going for a "ride" is bar hopping on friday night.

dont forget your highly protective bandana, wifebeater,invisible gloves, and well----- at least most HD guys wear nice sturdy boots---- they come in hand pretty nicely during fights that ensue after a hard ride to the bar.

Seriously though- its a cliche but so true-- its so much fun going fast on a slow bike vs going slow on a fast bike.

Kind of like driving a stock e30? :) I couldn't agree more on this.. I like the looks and price of the sv650, and it sounds like most are agreeing that it would be a good starter. I really have no motorcycle experience, unless you count 40 pound downhill mountain bikes. Looks like I have a new reason to go apply for jobs..........:ohsnap:

Thank you for backing up my point that all HD riders are middle-aged middle-class white people going through a mid-life crisis.

And I know plenty of guys that are 35+ that ride sportbikes and race sportbikes.

Anyone have opinions on a Buell XB9S? If/when I ever do get a motorcycle, that is one that I have been eyeing for some time. Eiither that or a R1150 R Rockster, preferably Dakargelb.
