The review on the original website link describes it as being a bit finicky and unreliable. I don't know, it seems like it could be a pain in the ass, however I'm also subscribed and interested.

Here is the part of the review that I'm referencing:

"It does suck not having a display to see what song you're selecting, and the more songs you have on it the longer it will take you to find that song. I also had some problems trying to skip songs using my tape deck's FFW and REW buttons, sometimes it'd go backwards randomly when trying to go forwards and vice versa... "

I bought one, immediately borrowed an SD card cuz I left my digicam and card with a buddy. Formatted card, threw 1 song on, popped it in the stock tape deck on my 6'er and....the radio kept playing. I've never tried a regular tape, so I don't know if that would work, but radio didn't seem to know/care there was a tape in the deck and never changed to that mode. That is...until I took the car out later on that day and it was in tape mode. It thought it was at the end of the tape or something though, cuz it'd play for a second or so, pause, do some stuff, play again, and the balance was changing a bit left/right with every pause.

So I press eject. Put it back in. Radio mode. And it has been on radio mode ever since, for a week or so. I have to completely disassemble the thing and see what's going on, what switch gets pressed when the tape is in and manually press it or something.

Basically i don't know if this deck works problem free with tapes normally, but my results have been disappointing, all i've heard was 10 1 second little bursts of music with pauses between, and it's been holding my buddy's SD card hostage for a week.

When I get it resolved or at least out of the deck so I can try it in another deck I will let everybody know
