Look, assholes. I usually dont bite at online skirmishes (all the underlying bigotry here on r3v has ceased to affect me), but sometimes Im bored and/or I cant take it so I bite. haha
I gave up on those threads long ago. E36 guys (wait, I guess I'm one of those now FUCK) just can't understand it. Nobody really can until you drive them back to back. I used to hop in the E36 and go flog it down some fun empty roads, then hop right in the E30 and drive the same road and just have a shit eating grin the whole time because it was so much more fun in that car.
The only reason I sold the E30 was because I could only enjoy it when I drove it like a maniac on the street. I could never bring myself to track it as I thought mine was too clean of an example and always worried I'd fuck it up.
That being said, I'm going to be dumping the E36 and pick up an E46 since it will do what I need it to do better.

'90 E30 M3 Brilliantrot/Black - SOLD SRS BSNS Motorsports - 24hrs of LeMons Racer
why do people keep saying the rear suspension is different/better? ive owned/own both and they appear identical to me. unless the track is just wider? but spring and shock placement looks the same.
edit: and to top it all off the majority on there are taking what they know of running the 'ring (via online lap times) and saying how a 20year old car cant keep up. as if they will ever get the chance to drive over there.

I know how you feel. "bmw_e30" (Ara) always thought I was a fag cuz I wasnt itching to put my car on the track.
For its time, e36 m3 is a great car considering all faster cars of the time were either F/I or V8, all of which e36 m3 handled equal or better than all of those. I bought e36 m3, because it was the best car I could buy for the money and what I needed (I own the bastard sedan e36 m3). Now if I didn't have a kid and I had to a chance to trade my e36 m3 sedan for e30 m3 or a s52 e30 I would do it in a heart beat, (although I do own a e30 and I own s52....hmmmmm). The e36 m3 fits the gap perfect between the generations. e36 m3 fan boys are probably about as bad as e39 guys are. Personally it goes e30> e46> e36> e9x

how the fuck would you compare your Fugly E36 to even an E30??? IMO the E30 looks way cooler than the E36. the E36 might be faster but i swear they look just like a Honda.. i mean look at the E36 , there is Tons of them on the roads while the E30 is just a few .. i would love to have An M3 E30. but i dont mind the S52 tho lol... anyways the E30 M3 is a fuckin classy car . i love the way it looks and its the Best M car IMO.
