More VW content for you, since r3v wubs them so much

My mk3 is kicking the bucket. Exhaust just rotted all the way off and its kind of a last straw for me. The frame is so rusty on it, its just a matter of time before shit caves in on itself, so any repairs are more or less in vane.

Granted I did commute the fucking hell out of that car. Bought it almost exactly 2 years ago with ~117k on it, it now has ~187k

SOOOO, I went out and bought a new mk5! Just getting tired of buying $3,000 cars, putting $2,000 into them, then junking them in 2 years. So I wanted to get something that will hopefully last me the next 10 or so.

Just a base jetta, has ESP over ASR. Nothing real fancy. Its a 2007 with pretty low miles and I got a good deal on it. $15.5k for the car, $16.5k out the door after taxes raped me.

I'm not a fan at all of the chrome. Maybe in a month or 2 I might get a GTI grill that is just black with red around the edges. Otherwise I like the looks of the car.

    Wicked hubcaps!!!

Not bad, I've driven a few 2.5's recently, I love that 5-cylinder howl.

That back seat looks all business though. :D

      Nice.

It's nice to have a car you can just drive.

Haha yeah, actually I really love the seats in that car... specifically the front lol. My back is kinda fucked up and most car seats without lumbar blow. Which is another reason I hated my mk3. mk3 seats are garbage, and the fucking audi seats I put in broke and the fucker tilts to the left.

I put these jetta seats right up with my m3's stockers. I really like them.

How does VW manage to make cars look cheaper with every new model?

          This one looks like Corolla.

I grew up with VW's and just don't understand the direction that company went.
Oh well, it's cheap and it sells.

No corollas and stuff look like vw.

A lot of Asian cars are basically mimicking German cars these days.

Oh man a 2.5 out of all the cars you could have bought for $16.5? j/k

it will last 10 years easy, plus you did get a manual and it's a basic engine that will keep on going so...

You see V-Dub is doing another lease special? 2 door, 5 speed Rabbit with the 2.5L and Cold Weather Package for $189/mo. for 3 years with $2K due at signing (excluding tax, title, etc). Not a bad price considering you're getting a new car with warranty. In total, I estimate you'd shell out around $10K for those 3 years. Of course fuel and insurance are not factored in to that equation.

Yeah thats cool, but NO ONE has rabbits lol. I wanted one, but theres only 3 in the major dealers I could find. All of them were $17.5k+

                            Edit:

That rabbit is also a lease, where as I am buying.
The dealer I got this jetta from is one of like 8 in MN, we have one of their "brother" dealers where I live, so it makes working with them a lot easier.
