    Lets talk car covers

Planning ahead, and going to be storing my E30 indoors, with radiant heated cement floor and humidity controlled environment.

    will any old Covercraft do?

    what do you use?

i'd go with covercraft's dustop car cover. it actually offers better dust protection than their tan flannel material (according to covercraft). if i recall correctly its cheaper too. the form-fit would be rad but they dont make 'em for e30's

        cool thanks for the recomendation-

couple of manufacturers make a dusttop cover, custom fit for the E30...like $39 :-S

dunno if it'd be really worth it tho-

My father recently purchased a BavAuto for his M5 and has been really impressed with it. It fits on the car very snuggly and is a breeze to put on/take off. The material repels water very well also.

          Down side: It's ~$200.

+1 for BavAuto. I bought this for my e30 because I don't have a garage to store it in. I put it on before it's going to rain and it keeps my car looking clean for the next sunny day I choose to drive it. I plan on using it over the winter when it's stored in my buddy's garage. It was pricey (they ship UPS, brokerage is brutal) but it came with a few accessories and a lifetime warranty.

why not go for cheap?? function comes before BMW logos and colors. besides, you're covering it indoors, not preparing it for storage.

For indoor use, drape your car with flannel sheets. That's all you need and thee most paint-friendly material you will find.
