    e82

-hey all, i've been drooling over the new e82 1er since it came out, test drove a 6sp 135i coupe a week ago and i'm still buzzed. The thing hauls ass! It is said (and I concur via stat comparos) that it just-barely pulls on an e46 m3, stock for stock, and out-brakes the e92 m3.

-anyone here have one? Are they having the same ball joint/CA problems the e90/92 are having? Not really serious about getting one now, maybe 50% serious about a new or new-ish BMW in the next 12-18 months. Really, I'm still in the 'dreaming' phase.

-So, should I set my sights lower? higher? hmmm?

Now take that figure, and hold it up next to the sub-30k figures required to pick up a clean 2005 E46 M3 :(
Not that I care, of course.

-but it's also the looks of the 135i I love... and the non-peaky torque curve!

Nice cars, I considered them. I think they'll be a better 1-2yr old CPO buy though.

I would take a 135i over an E46 M3 anyday of the week. Software and exhaust can yield near or over 400hp, and no E46 will ever come close unless you supercharge it. Even then, I bet the 135i will kill it.

I still can't get past the funky looks of the coupe, we should have got the three door hatch. The 123d M-Sport hatch, yummehs.

it more than just barely pulls on the e46 m3.... more like runs away from it.

I have one... love it. I wasnt even looking for a car when i fell in love and ordered one.

I think the coupe looks way better than the hatch.

And this is coming from someone who loves hatchbacks.

I saw a convertable this weekend - it's pretty damn small looking, looks even smaller than an E30 convertable somehow..
