Nothing too specific, really would just like to know if its equal to, higher or lower than the seating position with stock sport seats.

As, ideally, I'd like to be a bit lower than the stock sport seats if possible.

Look for early VW Mk2 Recaro Trophy seats. Should match that interior rather well:

I don't have stock sport seats anymore so I can't do a side by side comparison, unfortunately.

i'd go for stock cloth sports seats if you can find ones in vvg condition.

I just picked up a set of these for pretty cheap, I'm going to get them installed pretty soon, I just have to make some adapter plates and replace the 2 outermost bolsters.

            Here's a drop-in mockup:

Beautiful. They look identical to the Specialist/LXF seats, I have noticed that with the E21 seats as well, I assume they are just based off the same design.

Gonna look so nice bro. You've been whoring those pics and with just cause. Do you have door panels lined up??? Carpet too?

Ultimately, i just want newer "feeling seats". After sitting ZMBlueDevils vert, the wear and compactedness of my sport seats became even more apparent. Mine feel like race seats compared to the near plush feeling of his.

Maybe i should just look into that link you posted, Mr. Anderson. The UK based company that sells new foam. I Like the sport seats, so maybe investing in new foam wouldn't be such a bad deal. The leather is still good, and i do like the cardinal. Just getting an itch for something new. We'll see.

I'm working on getting a set of killer door cards together, black outer with grey cloth inserts. Then I need to find a grey carpet, and a grey rear seat. My plan is to get a trashed M3 rear seat, and have it recovered in the same fabric as the Recaros.

in post # 20 the seats on top are "early model" (black vinyl with a gray velour insert)

the lower set are "late model" (all gray velour)

this may help if you are looking for a set

my seats are getting to the point of being utterly trashed - they're just old and worn out. I'm always jealous of the guys who've got nice/newer seats. I decided to hold off on it for one more winter, but next year I'll have no choice.. they're not even safe for the track really, since the frames have cracks that make the backs wobble. :(
