Bumbners. Good news is that he is safe, and did not receive any major injuries.

Glad to hear your boy is doing ok after this event. It just goes to show that no matter how hard we try to be a safe and defensive driver there is always the posibility that all can change in the blink of an eye. My oldest nephew recently turned 11 but I've already been talking with my brother about getting him into one of those BMWCCA teen "Street Survival" courses once he gets his license and is ready to take to the road. They certainly are far more instructive than any driver's ed class in high school.

Glad to hear he's ok. One hell of a hit, the e30 absorbed it pretty well for those types of speeds.

God bless that he's ok. I'm surprised that the car didn't fold at the speed it was hit. Still, good to see that you're son is ok.

Thanks for all the comments, the doctors said no major injuries, he has x-rays, uirne tests and all. Came out with a clean bill of health. I am real impressed witht the way the car held up in the wreck. I hope I can salvage the seats. They were a nice set of 318ti sets that I made brackets for. I am glad the mod that I made worked. The brackets held up fine. It did knock the back off of the drivers seat. I am now waiting to see if the other driver had insurance. I don't know anything about them. I can't even get a police report until later in the week. My son seems to be doing fine. He went out with his frinds yesterday and said he doent hurt at all. I am glad that both of my kids dive these old cars. Thanks agin for the comments.

WOW. Really glad your son made it out ok and holy shit can the e30 take a beating and keep on ticking! Makes me feel better about driving it than my astro van which probably would have ended up on it's side.

Those seats are awesome too, hope you can salvage them!

I'm glad to hear your son is okay. My son will be driving in a couple of years and the thought of it makes me uneasy; especially seeing how there are many idiots out there driving carelessly.

The kids in the truck were ok also. I haven't been able to get the info from the police to contact them. I don't even know if they have insurance or not. Even with the state laws requiring insurance, there are a ton of drivers around here that don't that is why we pay so much for insurance. I hope to get all the info from the police this week and try to get the ball rolling on settling with them so I can get on the new car and put him on the road. I also just bought a 91 vert that only needs a dive shaft, I may let him drive that until we get the other car up and running. I will try to get pics of the new car in a couple of days.
