I can't believe the attitude some of you have toward people that supposedly say it "wrong" by your standards. And you wonder why BMW drivers are percieved as such dicks.

Who gives a fuck? I call it my BMW or my E30. If someone calls it my BEAMER, I could give a shit less. 9.99 times out of 10, they're complimenting it. I'm not going to make them feel stupid and make myself come off as an asshole by correcting them on some stupid-ass pronunciation error.

Lancia = LAHN-cha (single "c" in Italian is pronounced as a "CH" sound)
Integrale = Een-teh-GRAH-leh (pretty self explanatory)
Peugeot = POO-zhow (zh is a soft J sound, kinda like a soft "sh" sound)

I've never heard anyone say lahn-cha, everyone seems to say Lahn-si-ah, or Lan like a LAN party. Interesting. I do know Integrale and Peugot though.

For Lancia it's an exception. It's LAH-NS-EE-AH. Most of the eastern europe calls it Lancha, as did i until I actually asked Italians.

Ha! I have this down to two sentences now:

"You know the small, boxy body style BMW's from the 80's? Yeah, that's the E30."

BTW, even my 2 year-old daughter says it correctly. If we ask her which car to take out, she invariably says "Daddy's fun car - the Bimmer!" often followed by "whee!" - the sound she makes from her car seat in the back when I accelerate.
