    Got Hit From Behind

I was leaving the movie theaters on Saturday night in the pouring rain. Just as I was about to get out of the parking lot full of traffic, my car lurched forward. I was like WTF?, why did my car stall? I look at the tack and the engine is still running. I look in my rear view mirror and there was a new dodge truck right on me. I got out but couldnt see much in the rain so we pulled over to the gas station in the parking lot. I went to see how bad the damage was and...NOTHING. Not a single scratch. No mark whatsoever. :D :D I felt relieved. I would have been pissed, but all is good.

Glad to hear there was no damage. In CA I don't even like to drive when we get one of our rare rains. The people here are instant idiots(Just add water).

Good news that it didn't hurt the cabby Aaron. :)

Hopefully the truck took a ding or two, but I doubt it.

Aaron.....when I first saw the topic line to this thread I thought "not another nice E30 gone?!?!" I'm glad to hear that your car didn't suffer any damage. Those new Dodge Ram trucks are beasts.

The truck was fucked up. The grill and bumper were smashed in. I was like WTF and asked the guy if that just happend. He told me that he ran into somebody two weeks ago. Son of a bitch. Terrible drivers.

Its a sad reality of where we live Aaron. I actually find dealing with bay area traffic to be less hectic :!:

The masses in Sacto just can't drive.

What a talented driver, he can rear end a person every 2 weeks.

                  Aaron,

Do me a favor, go look again. the same shit happened to me. I guy makes an oncoming left in front of me, i had to swerve, slammed into the curb at 40, and rode the curb to a stop....

Before i got the car to a stop, i had already turned the car off thinking i ripped the oil pan off the car...

I get out, had scraped my front apron, and thats all i really saw at the time. I told the guy no sweat, there was just cosmetic damage. Oil pan was fine, car started up fine.

I had to be at work, because if i was late, i would have lost my job (strict attendance at the casinos), and that can't happen since i have 1000/month in bills to pay on my own.

When i got out to the car after work, i was shocked, it was SOOOOOO much worse than i had saw earlier, panels were misaligned, the front spoiler was all messed up...

Look again, i dont want the same to happen to you.

Guys, even if it looks minor, get their info just in case. I wish i had, it was stupid on my part, live and learn.

Damn Aaron, glad to hear that nothing happened. Sac is full of sorry drivers (two of my ex-girlfriends live there, and they are among the worst drivers I have ever seen!).

Inspar8r, trust me, I checked it out very well before I let the guy go. The gaps between the bumper and the fenders were consistent, the trunk opens and closes perfectly. There is a minor scuff, really minor scuff where the corner bumper trim meets the rear straight piece. Thanks for all the kind words.
