    Aww naw...

It was only a matter of time before Porsche weighed in on the Nissan GT-R v. ZR1 debacle.

Top Gear. They will determine it. Give them the GT-R, the ZR-1 and the GT2 and let them go.

Top Gear? I seem to recall them saying that a chassis dyno is a "lie detector for engines." They supported this with the claim that it "gives the true horsepower reading." They then went on to criticize the fact that a chassis dyno only found 447 of the Shelby GT500's advertised 500hp. Last I checked an engine dyno was the lie detector, and bhp was different than whp. But they know what they're talking about...

not to mention, every type of chassis dyno will give you a different WHP output with the same car and the same conditions. chassis dynos are for tuning, that is what they are made for and what they are best at. or alternatively, they are for people who want to brag about meaningless peak numbers and imaginary "corrected" crank HP.

I'm glad others here share my opinion of top gear. Not to mention many of their "tests" while fun to watch, are inaccurate.

The show is for entertainment purposes only. They have cool cars and such, but in terms of how well the presenters drive and how accurate the show is, Fifth Gear has them trumped.

my fiance likes top gear but finds cars boring, so thats what top gear is, fun for the whole family.

                    the GT-R R35 is ugly. I only like R32-33

I would like to see Sabine Schmitz take them both around the 'ring.
