I heard one in person on a 325e, not sure which series but it sounded good. Loud, but good

I plan on doing headers to a 3 chamber Flowmaster with 2.5 or 2.75 piping on my next E30, no cats.

I have yet to hear an exhaust that can make an M20 sound bad, if that makes you feel better.

Ive got one on my eta. 40 series and all. It was free, so I put it on. Its a bit loud for my taste (especially for a slow ass car). Its mean though, damn mean. It quiets down after 3 grand but up til then it reminds me of open exhaust. I also cant hear very well with other people in the car and crusing down the road. I may put the ole thrush on it to quiet it down soon. *i may have a sound clip in a day or so. sounds a lot like most other mufflers on the m20. nice growl at idle, and deep sound under accel.

besides that, Jordan, when did you "grow up"?
Heh. Just kidding...remember, I have ridden with you.

As far as BMXers comment, I have a roller cammed-350 powered-TH400 tranny Astro, AND a '77 Nova with headers, dual 2 1/2" flowmaster mandrel bent exhast with dual 3 chamber flowmasters on it. It sounds really really nasty...ricer-boys always wanna play...once. Heh....it spews some oil (it IS a chevy, remember?) so after I leave their puny little vtech bullshit in the dust, I like to make sure to mix a little oil in with the dust. Then I always get the "loser fly-by" with fart pipes screaming. The car is now my daughters, who will be 17 in November. Just what the world needs...little hottie with an attitude and a muscle car. She can't drive it until she can pay for her own insurance though, so she can't come and kick your ass yet.

I have a 2.5" exhaust on my 325e with a flow master cat with a flow master exhaust... for the price it was worth it. It sounds great and 'loud' is what you get with exhausts.

I had dual flowmaster 40's on my dart.. that was fucking loud. they were the original design too which is was louder than the newer ones. if you want one, go with a larger size in case you want to keep some of your cars civility.
