Nice!. That's a '55 right? Well, it's pre-'56 if not.
I dated a girl in high school who had a really cool father. He had a '55 and an extremely nice '56. I love those things, they're so much fun, especially with a 4 speed.
He is also the one that got me started turning wrenches. I brought a busted ass BMW to his house and it left there a nice car.

Yes its a 55. 54 was completely different body style. Very awesome setup there mike. Another reason why I'm jealous of you. Sad you sold the fullsize to pick this up though.
Was it a muncie that got stolen from you? That sucks if it was, those fetch a pretty penny nowaday.
Europeans LOVE classic american cars! actually they think some of the newer ones are o.k. too. (newer Chrysler 300M seems to be really popular here too)
I miss the truck a little, but its winter now and I wouldnt be driving it anyway right now.
Gas is so expensive over here that only the hardcore even drive gas guzzling american stuff here.
I have started with the car already. the floors and rear inner wheel wells and rocker panels were ALOT worse than expected.
I have come across some excelent work that has to be over 25 years old--- the left side has a new rear1/4 welded OVER the old as well as both rocker panels were done the same way. came across huge gapping holes that were "repaired" with fiberglass over the rusty hole-as well as all of the body bushings are just falling apart and off.-- this is going to be the moneypit of all time!!!
ran the numbers on the block- found out is is an orig. 69 Vette 350 330hp!!
the floor is about 60% done with new replacement panels- just have to get on to the wheel wells.
cool that you know that magazine. they were one of my sponsors over here back in my Lowrider days. I used to do all kinds of shows allover Germany.
nothing cheater about the panels, it is called lazy ass people who have no idea about craftsmanship-- but at one time the car was probably only worth 500 dollars or so too.
there is alot to come/change on the car-- and as alot of you wont like --- yes, 20" on the rear and 18" on the front are in the works as well as airride
it will have a stance like this:
