Then if it is stolen you can locate it with the chip!

Haha, are you sure they're locating chips and not just ID chips? I wouldn't think you can get something for $15 that emits a signal strong enough to track. I'd be all over that shit, literally set their car on fire for doing something like this.

I've never clipped a parking curb. I haven't hit any raccoons. One morning I went out to my car a noticed the iS lip was gone. I had checked the clips just the day prior to make sure everything was tight. Bitch was stolen.

did a little tin work to help keep crap outta the fog lights that adds support to the lip




each side is a single piece and the rear where it gets split to match the contour of the wheel well i supported the cut with a scrap piece riveted on, the shields attach to the ziptied on lip (zipties saved it from highway debris and kept it attached till i got home where it fell off in the driveway) with simple plastic rivets that would easily be cut by the metal shields if it got whanged

You guys are way too over dramatic. Nobody steals lips. You just hit crap, and 9 out of 10 of you are using the old brittle clips that are half broken, so all it takes is a damn feral cat rubbing against it to scratch an itch and it will FALL off.

Get new clips, and stfu.

I just recently replaced my clips. Of the 10 total, 2 were missing completely, of the remaining 8, 6 were broken. I have no idea how it stayed on. It is a very good idea to replace your clips if you haven't done so.

I'd love to steal mine back from the asshat who stole it, but every e30 I see is missing its lip too. My BBS centercap was stolen, too. Now I feel I have to remove all the little shit from my car when I drive anywhere. If it takes less than 10 seconds to take off, and you care about the price of it, then take it off.

But I doubt there are very many people stealing bits off our E30s, I'm nearly 100% positive the pos who stole my lip was the previous owner who knew where my wife parked her sedan.

Just coat the inside edge of your lip with razor wire and toilet bowl cleaner.

He'll never try to steal another one again, assuming he can still use his fingertips.
