And to think, just months ago I PM'ed him a real (non r3v) offer on the car when he was having runability issues, but yeah, an offer still stands, even if it is a few hundred dollars.

Farbin will likely pay extra coinage if it comes with any rats behind the dash too...

And I bet you still haven't fixed the wheel bearing.

Did you have more than liability on the car? If not, that's probably why you're still waiting for an insurance adjuster. He's never going to come. Liability insurance only covers the people you hit, not you.

I think you're doing the right thing. Strip the car and get yourself a Honda. Or sell it to Farbin for a couple hundred bucks and let him fix it.

First of all, I'm not the one who tightened the lugs. It was a family friend who came with his jack because the one in the car was too rusted too be used.
He's the one who did not tightened the lugs tightly and assured me that he had.

Secondly, The front seats are not ruined, you told me you put two passenger seats in the front, I'm just putting the drivers seat that I have now in the passenger seat and getting a new seat for the drivers side, there is nothing wrong with them now.

Thirdly, I've been out of a job since August. I'm close to finishing school and the projects are just pilling on.
I talked to a mechanic and he told me that he would do the bearings for $550. I just don't have the money for the bearings right now, or any of my bills.
You also told me that I would be fine driving with the bearings the way they are. Just that there would be noise over 50 miles an hour. I don't even go far, the farthest I had been in the last couple of months was about 4 miles away from where I live. And only used streets no freeway.

What do you care anyways, you assume that I'm bad because I don't take care of my car as much as I would love to. Believe me, every little penny I get, I try and save it towards the wheel bearings or a new gas tank because of that small hole in there.
This is the first car I've ever gotten and I'm pretty new to the car thing, the same way you love your cars is exactly the same way I am with computers, I create my own. The car thing, I'm just beginning. I don't even have any proper tools to work with. I'm just starting out.

Anyways, Thanks again for making such a beautiful car, I'll strive my hardest to keep it the way it was meant to be.

I had that exact hit/damage to my 325 a few years back. Sorry man, I know how it is to see your baby like that.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I say put everything back, let your insurance cover the fords damage, and fix what's been damaged on your car. Go to a local junker and get straight parts and slap it on. Good luck.

Planning on doing exactly just that.
Already have a few part dealers lined up, just need the moolah.

I hope youve learned not to follow too close. Sucks the car had to pay the price. Oh, and you when they adjust your insurance payments, and you buy straight parts for it...

I care because Josh and I put countless hours and money into that car to make it what it was. What you paid for it barely even covered the parts on it. Eibach springs, Hockenheim wheels, all new brakes and pads, etc etc. It's your car and you can do with it what you will, but when I see you doing cosmetic stuff instead of fixing the main issue that's wrong with it, it irks me.

Then after getting in a fender bender you start tearing the dash apart and pulling out a bunch of stuff with little to no value...for what? If you've written off the car, sell it intact to someone who will make it whole again. Don't gut it to sell $100 worth of crappy gauges and leave the rest of the car too much of a basket case for the new owner. You should seriously sell this car to Farbin.
