all that would do is let in more hot air, and let out more cold air? and sound cool:)

the suction is not all from the front, the side also breath 90%, its no going to be able to pull water uphill if there no suction there.

                absolutely, even when just cruising.

haha, yeah the car wasn't warmed up fully yet, so it was running a little rich. Aren't e30's supposed to run rich until they are fully warmed up?

that doesn't matter reving in neutral, remember my car was an automatic once upon a time, and it was never like that. there's more than a half second delay between opening the throttle and the RPMs changing. I can hear it when he opens the throttle blade. Perhaps caused by the M30 AFM "upgrade"? ;)

that's true of cars in general, it can take up to 4 times as much fuel as normally required to run an engine cold.

no, the m30 afm actually helped, when its cold, it goes- suck in air,rev up,rev down, burble burble.
whens its warm-its suck in air while revving up.

I hate to tell you this, but that big delay between when you hit the throttle and your engines actually revs is caused by the M30 AFM, as is the big sucking noise in between the 2. The same thing happened to my engine when I tried it. You hit the gas, the AFM door opens and goes 'whoosh', and then about a 0.5-1 second later, the engine decides to actually rev. It sucks, which is why I don't run the M30 AFM.
