Standard practice in the surfing world is to run with fins forward, facing up. Reduces lift and in the case you didn't get the straps quite tight enough the fins will catch the board. As to shocka, really? I like the rake and I really like the way to car handles. Is it ideal, probably not, but I've done a group of track days and autocrosses with the set up and it works pretty well.
Where's your ride at by the way?
