Hey, an AMX! I had a 70 AMX. With the 401 and 4spd (390 broke the crank) headers,cam,intake,carb and ported dog leg heads. I got 16mpg with it on the interstate. And it was very quick also!

Really? Though I share your hard-on for mopars, I cannot stand any AMC. Maybe the gremlin was ok, but only for drag purposes.

AMC cars were always cheaply built and had way too much plastic on them. But the 401 engines rocked and any of the original high performance parts for them now bring top dollar. Not anything that really interests me now, just something I know a lot about.

Does anyone have any info on how much a karmann ghia goes for. Its a style 34 import from Germany. I was talking to a guy that just happens to have one, and wants to get one out of his backyard for cheap. When I say cheap im talking from the 400-600$ range.
