It is cheap over here for one of them (a nice GTi, let alone a 3dr). Not many people do up Volkswagens in Australia - most kids stick to shitbox S13 Silvias, WRXs and the like.

A guy I know from Melbourne bought it. Turns out I knew the seller so was happy to help out on the inspection and housing it while he organises transport. It is a fucking awesome little car - goes like a rocket (Audi bottom-end, lotsa compression, big cam, coilovers, big brakes, etc).
Looks DD titties too.
Wheels fitted nicely on my E30. Made me reconsider going 5-lug... for a couple of seconds at leastPork Hunt Motorsport

'84 GTi, 110k miles, all original paint and body. Purchased from the original owner with tons of documentation, including the window sticker proving the very uncommon color combination. Drive's so damn well, you wouldn't believe it's a VW, let alone a MK1.
Unfortunately, too many toys means this one is for sale :(

just picked up this gem for $200 bucks. roof rack & bike mounts, studded tires on snowflakes (appropriate), summer tires, kenwood head unit, r.f. amp, and all. it runs & drives like a champ, which is good since the BMW is running like crap right now...
