I remember seeing that in EuroTuner a few years back. I remember them saying it had to be an auto, because at the time, there wasn't a manual tranny made that would bolt up to a Northstar. :shock:

Why? I'm sure they didn't do that to it. They probably got it like that.
But if it runs, drive it! Not everyone has the money to do a full resto to a Porsche that old.
If I remember correctly, it was done by a kid who works at emory motorsports. The shell was leftover, rusty and bent up but underneath it is an unrusty, very set up 356. I thought it was a pretty slick way to keep one on the road.
X2. It's lazy and a fucking travesty that one of the best-looking Porsches ever has to wind up looking like that. There's "rat" and then there is "junk". he could have done a thousand other things to make it ratty AND presentable.
I like rat rods, but save that rusted shit for old cars that can't do anything except chuck skids and make a lot of noise.
