crank sensor and o2 sensor problems

    OK here's the story.
in the almost 3 years i have owned the car, i have gone through 3 crank position sensors. is this common?
did they have a bad batch of them from Bosch?

the car starts runs a little then dies, it will die even faster if i try to give it gas an rev it up.

i have a narrow band O2 gauge that is not showing a signal right now, so that might be my problem too. today it was dieing when i came back down to an idle randomly. i would just pop the clutch and it would restart no problem. when this would happen i had no signal at the o2 gauge.

right now i went to get in the car and it had no signal and wouldn't stay running.

last time it was having a similar problem it was the crank sensor.

does the o2 just fucking die?
it is only 1 1/2 years old (6 months of which i wasn't driving it because i was in the hospital)

    any ideas?

i am going to go out and jiggle some wires to see i i have some kind of random short in the o2 harness

never mind, i found a angry wire up under the glove box.
fuck i want to kill the PO for his shitty wiring job on the piggy back and Dbilas/ford MAF stuff!!!!!

i am curious about the crank position sensor though, 3 in 3 years seems high to me.

ditch the piggyback, pick up one of the budget standalones out of AUS, everyone will be happier. :)

i KNOW, but the $$$$ is super tight right now and i don't have the $2500 to spend on it.
shit, i have been telling everyone on here about WOLF for the last 2 years.

        maybe someday soon :(

is that just a fluke about the crank sensors though?

were they rubbing on anything? The only time I've ever seen them go bad is when they rub on a pulley and short out.

no, that is the weird part. they just crapped out.
              first sporadically then completely.

i trust the guy who did the work, that he wouldn't lie to me.
he did warranty out the second one because it had been 6 months and did the labor for free

does it have a custom wiring harness? That's the only other way I can see it dying. I don't think it even has a Vref signal from the ECU, the voltage is generated in the sensor itself.

not really, just the piggy back stuff and most of that is added wiring.
some times i think the car hates me??????
