my old roommate Brad just called me from James Island, SC. he said he just picked up an E30 M3 from a guy down the road for $500 TONIGHT.
he is really stoked!

There are so many ways this can go and/or be wrong. Needless to say, most likely it will be far from the ideal situation that a "$500 E30 ///M3" fantasies might conjure up. But deep inside, I really hope I witness one of those one-in-a-million things that some old lady thats trying to make room in her garage sells the old BMW 3 series w/ 5K miles on it for $500.

ah, well it is the perfect project car. and i hope for it to be running so i may be a "feature car" at the picnic this year to show the progress.

there was a good story about a $500 m3 on s14.net about a year ago actually. dude was riding bikes with a few friends. someone asked if anyone was interested in a old bmw that was seen in a driveway. guy was interested, went to check it out. turned out to be a alpine with all cardinal interior. only issue was it had sat for a long time, so moss and and green nastyness had taken over. car had a black drivers door but still it was $500. guy got it home spent a weekend cleaning it, car was a gem.
