I'd say the above post is a pretty good testimony for it. VR-6's in those cars run hot for lack of air flow and couple that with the performance/displacement upgrade it should have aggravated the problem, instead it improved it over stock with no improvements to air flow in the front.

just a thought have you tried to run a 70/30 mix with "racing" water wetter? the racing has an added water pump lube in it over the regular water wetter. that is a cheaper way to go, if that will work for what you are trying to do.
