It'd probably help your case with the members of this site (your customers) if your responses weren't so hostile. Chill out and explain your case.

It seems that you consistently start these threads knowing that bashing will occur, but that never seems to stop you from creating them in the first place.

agree. DC, if you don't want to share data or details why keep bringing these topics up? i think your looking to start these arguments purely for entertainment. not a good way to gain credibility with potential or current customers.

I feel my plates do every thing you are looking for. It protests the oil pan from catastrophic damage. they are much more that just a massive guard. They give access to your drain plug. they are an easy install, with step by step instructions and High res photos. With a cost of 165$ I feel a very fair price. No one was making a skid plate for the M20 when I started. I make them for the M20 M30 M42 and the other DOHC swaps. I feel there are other products that you could set your sites on.

Honestly, I don't see how in the world you could improve on that. Is that waterjet cut or a large format CNC table?

When I did the first plate it had slots across the bends. After testing I redesigned it. It has taken every thing I have thrown at it. They are very strong!

I have one of them... they're VERY durable. Take a look at some of the pics in his FS thread and you'll see what a beating they can take.

Point 1) Yes I tried this approach for a while, I don't mind explaining things once twice or even three times... but after that they are either just not getting it or just trying to start a fight for whatever reason.

Point 2) I just have a really hard head...

And oddly enough since I've picked up this little following of harsh critics, out right detractors and some slandering fools...

I have sold more (seems like about a 50% jump) e30 chassis braces ...

Either proving that any ink is good ink or... Not everyone buys into this "DCColegrove is a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles" chant..

I'm not meaning to say your skid plate is not a fine piece of equipment...

It is and the work you have done is admirable.

                              I mean this sincerely.

I simply have a different design philosophy and different aproach to problem solving.
