I went with Chris to look at this car today and was impressed. The clear coat is bad in a few areas but the nice thing is the car is untouched, completely all original. The tranny can be swapped easily to a 5spd. and still not have too much in the car.

Also any e30 is hard to find down here, much less a 325is. Now if BMW would have made a 325is super-crew, 4x4 dually, diesel, with a lift kit then they would be all over Texas.

$2,800 really isn't a good deal for a car that would need a tranny swap (easily over $1,000) and need a respray. The respray figure $2,000 for an average job, and $1,000 for the swap and you have a stock E30 that cost you $5,800.

Considering I may have a 5spd parts car later this week the swap would be cheap. The paint is another story but he'd probably leave it that way for a while.

This is all my fault. He liked his 325e until he rode in my car :)

No matter how cheap you sell him parts for the swap, I still spent $500-600 replacing the wear parts and for a few upgrades.

If its in great condition Id say so. The tranny can be swapped.
Is there a way to get rid of the yellow? I have a little on my valve cover.
i got the yellow junk off my engine with a wire brush and lots of paint stripper. it was a pain but its so clean now. well worth the work imho.

                        I found a nice 325i 2-dr here for 1900.
didn't get it cause it's an auto and I don't want to do the swap.

The quote I got from a mechanic for the swap was $1600 labor, $800 parts

Oh my hell, the second I got to the super crew dually diesel, I knew you were from Texas without even looking.
